Geena Kennedy is a board-certified Physician Assistant with extensive experience in both primary care and urgent care. She earned her Bachelor of Science in Chemistry, with a minor in Biology, from the University of North Carolina at Charlotte, and went on to receive her Master of Science in Physician Assistant Studies from East Carolina University.
Throughout her career, Geena has been dedicated to providing compassionate, patient-centered care, with a special passion for helping patients feel better on the days they need it most. Her approach combines clinical expertise with a genuine commitment to improving the health and well-being of every person she treats.
Outside of work, Geena enjoys spending time with her husband, young son, and their dog and cat. She’s an avid reader and values quality time with her family.
Mary Edwards is a Physician Assistant (PA) who completed her medical training at Wake Forest School of
Medicine as a member of the class of 2024, receiving her Masters of Medical Science. She is board certified by the
North Carolina Medical Board. She has been thrilled with the opportunity to return to her hometown area to
practice with the team at Family Urgent Care. She prioritizes team driven and evidence based medicine that is
patient centered in delivery. When not at work, you can find her reading a good psychological thriller, spending
time with her pets and spouse, and going to weekly trivia with her friends!

Arianna Moazzami is a certified Physician Assistant who earned a Master of Physician Assistant Studies from Wingate University in 2024. She holds a Bachelor of Arts in Biology from the University of North Carolina at Charlotte that she received in 2020.
With a strong foundation in science and patient care, she is dedicated to providing compassionate, evidence-based medical care. Outside of work, she enjoys cooking, spending time with her dog, Georgie, and staying active through regular workouts.
Beth received her Licensed Practical Nursing degree from St Joseph School of Nursing in New Hampshire. She has been living and working in NC for 11 years. She enjoys spending time with her children and grandchildren, reading, working in her yard and hiking. She appreciates her team members and the quality of care they provide for the patients.
Connie Peterson brings a B.S. in Business Administration along with 17 years of healthcare administration experience to her role at Family Urgent Care. She loves the ever-changing priorities and the challenges that come each day. Her ability to pivot has prepared her for this role and feels lucky that she gets to work with the best team ever!
Outside of work she and her husband Ron love to attend wine and bourbon tastings along with watching movies and spending as many weekends as possible in their RV preferably by a lake!
With over a decade of experience in medical office administration, I currently serve as a front desk associate, where I specialize in managing provider schedules and creating a welcoming, efficient environment for patients and staff alike. I hold a B.A. in Professional Technical Writing with a minor in Creative Writing.
Outside of work, I enjoy reading, playing video games, and spending time with my husband. I’m also exploring an interest in beekeeping!
As the first point of contact for patients, Helen serves as our Front Desk Representative – greeting patients, verifying insurance information, and assisting with general inquiries.
Formerly a production manager, she excelled in managing projects, stream-lining workflows, and leading cross-functional teams. Now in the healthcare setting, with a strong background in operations and customer service, she ensures that every patient experience begins smoothly and reflects the high standards of care our practice is known for.
During her free time she enjoys reading, going on adventures, and photography.
